Mini Minstrels / Pre-school classes

Since completing her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education in 1999 at the University of Queensland, Fiona has taught classroom music in various high schools in Queensland as well as in the UK.

It wasn’t until Fiona became a parent and began taking her young children to ‘do-ri-me’ music classes, that she became interested in learning more about early childhood music and the importance of musical experience in the first three years of a child’s life.

Fiona has recently completed level one of the Australian Kodaly Certificate in Early Childhood Music.

Fiona joined NECOM’s Early Childhood Music department in 2024 and loves working alongside Beck to nurture the many babies, toddlers and young children in Armidale to help them reach their full potential.
